Living in Color feat. CurvyContemporary.com
I wear so much black.
I can't figure out if its because I'm a native New Yorker, because I work in fashion or because I'm a stylist. Maybe its all of the above! But really, I don't know when the all black everything happened. I mean, I get why.
After all, Its chic. Timeless. Classic. Easy to wear to work...
But, I don't know where I traded color and print for black and neutrals.
This isn't to say I'm not happy with my personal style and wardrobe choices, because I am. But lately, perhaps because of the insanely drab winter we've experienced, I find myself reaching for color and print like never before!
Luckily, I've partnered up with the lovely team at CurvyContemporary.Com , and have been able to incorporate tons of color, print and fun fashion touches (pom-pom's anyone?) into my wardrobe easily! Plus, not only do they have great options, but the product is well made, has a great fit, wears well, washes well and is super versatile! Trust me, whether you're a color-all-the time kinda gal, or all black err-thang like me, you'll want to check them out for summer finds that will take you from the office to Sunday brunch!
Check out some recent looks, featuring my curvycontemporary.com finds! Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section AND don't forget to use code 'LLD40' at checkout to save 40% off your entire purchase!
Instead of sticking to my standard all black uniform for a day on-set, I layered this Floral Print Lace Trim Top over for an updated look!
Styling Tip: Instead of belting your top, you can tie a side knot (yes 80's style) to accentuate your waist and give the look a bit of attitude! I sized up and got a 3X in this top so when I wear it with denim, it falls at my preferred length (mid lower belly), so it was too long to wear simply layered over this jumpsuit- I needed to "jazz" it up, if you will!
In case you guys missed it, I was featured in NEWSDAY, this month! I also may or may not have jumped on my bike (with my Newsday in tow) to share the news w/ a few neighbors ;)
This Multi Crochet Tie Front blouse in Cherry Red was the perfect pop of color for a casual day of running errands and literally spreading the news LOL! PS- Its on SALE now, and is a great option for that Memorial Day Weekend look you're probably still trying to figure out!
The second the weather gets warm, I am ready for cocktails outside with live music and the waves crashing in the background! Anyone else?
This Pom Pom Flutter Sleeve Top was the perfect blouse option for a chic but super fun happy hour look! I got so many compliments and this blouse was a real conversation starter.
Pom Poms make the world go round, I guess.
That or margaritas...
Or both.
But probably margaritas!
This split sleeve embroidery trimmed faded blue top was an easy grab & go option for an early dinner w/ the family! We were headed to a local restaurant down on the water, and it was a beautiful night. I needed a chic, polished but comfortable (and cool) look - and this did the trick!
Styling Tip: IF you've been following for a while, you know I prefer my blouses to fall slightly below my lower belly. If you're similar to me in that regard, and have a long torso, or are 5'7" or taller, you may want to size up one size to allow for some extra length in your curvy contemporary.com blouses! Just a tip ;)
